The 1st Annual Let’s Test Conference on Context-Driven Testing
Stockholm, Sweden, May 7-9, 2012
Keynote Presentations by:
Michael Bolton
Rob Sabourin
Scott Barber
Julian Harty
We are pleased to announce the first ever European conference on Context-Driven Testing. The conference program Committee is now seeking papers from speakers interested in presenting and taking part in this historic occasion.
The conference theme, Context-Driven Testing, is deliberately kept broad in order to invite as many different types of presentations from the community as possible. Any industrial experience reports, research papers or visionary ideas and insights that stem from the Context-Driven principles qualify for presentation at this conference.
Let’s Test is a community-driven conference. As such, we encourage all test practitioners who are serious about their craft to share their stories, and for any European Context-Driven tester, we believe this conference to be a very opportune moment to do so. If you have hands-on experience and a fascinating story to tell, do not hesitate to submit your idea for consideration. The Program Committee will assist you in evolving your tale so that it will be ready to present at Let’s Test 2012.
All speakers who get a proposal accepted will of course be able to attend the conference free of charge, including room and board at the venue.
CONFERENCE FORMAT
Let’s Test 2012 is a bit different kind of conference from what you may be used to. Unlike the average testing conferences, Let’s Test focuses deeply on discussion and interaction between the presenter and the other participants, allowing for at least 20 minutes of moderated discussion after each presentation. Papers and experience reports accepted by the program committee are challenged, debated and discussed by the conference attendees. This format is greatly inspired by the annual CAST conference, based on the LAWST-style workshops with facilitated discussions after each keynote and track presentation.
SUBMISSIONS
The program committee is looking for abstracts and proposals, not necessarily finished papers. That said, we expect submissions to include at least:
- Title
- Theme of your proposal
- Summary of your presentation
- Key learning outcomes that you hope your audience will walk away with
The following is a non-exclusive list of suggestions on themes and topics that could be considered suitable for submission:
Testing Skills, , Test approaches, Thinking Skills, Communication, Reporting, Usability, Tool-Assisted Testing, Cognitive science, Models, teaching testing, Test Management
Don’t let this list limit you however. Any Context-Driven testing story could be considered valuable to share at Let’s Test 2012.
